Psychological Support Services

Psychology Support Room provides psychological therapy for individuals presenting with a range of emotional and behavioural concerns.

Who the service is for

Services are available for children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Approach

Therapy is guided by evidence-based practice and clinical formulation. The work focuses on understanding current difficulties and supporting individuals to respond to these in a way that is appropriate to their situation.Support is delivered using evidence-based approaches, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • EMDR
  • Psychoeducation

Services are also available in Spanish.

  • Trauma-related difficulties
  • Adjustment and life changes
  • Parenting and family concerns
  • Neurodevelopmental differences (including ADHD and autism)
  • Attention and concentration difficulties
  • Emotional regulation

Access and Funding

  • Private (self-funded) sessions
  • Medicare (Mental Health Care Plan required)
  • NDIS (self-managed and plan-managed participants)
